Absolutely Darling! Maybe a few terms a little old for newbies, but it's still a great time to introduce them to help vocabularies grow. Cute, cute, cute! Would be a great inspiration for birthday parties or scavenger hunts.
I thought it was cute, but kind of weird. I had a hard time getting my children to pay attention to it. Ok I guess.
What a great rhyming ABC book! I thoroughly enjoyed this new take on the traditional ABC book. It is imaginative, well done, and has great rhyme!
I really enjoyed reading this book to my 3 1/2 year old grand daughter. She couldn't wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next. I highly recommend this book.
While the book is written for the little ones, the book doesn't skimp on the details. It's written with just the right caliber of high text...kids will find it fun and just challenging enough, and adults will find it entertaining and witty. The Pirate ABC book is very cleverly written and the illustrations are beautifully done. For the youngest of audiences, even if they don't understand every word, they will be fully satisfied just ogling page after page of colorful & beautiful pictures.
This book follows that curious rat, Preston, as he takes to sailing the seas and teaches a rough and tough pirate the ABC's, Pirate Style. For the young child that is learning to recite the ABC's to the beginning reader that is sounding out words for the first time this book is perfect. It also includes games, puzzles and crafts that reinforce learning and comprehension in fun and active ways. Every young learner should become a "Pirate of the Alphabet!"
This book, like his previous three books, is excellent.
I am now a senior citizen, but I remember going to a schoolhouse, yes I mean school house.
Mrs. Dunn who taught grades one through three,used to read books to us such as Puss in Boots,
Hansel and Grettle, and many others. This was my first experience with books, I was lucky to
at the age of five to have my mind opened to the wonders of the wold.
Todays parents can tickle their young childrens curiosity and wonder of the wold with this story
and the pictures.
The book is simple, entertaining, and educational. I would recomend for all youngsters.
